1) An operator lowers 30” pipe into Basin #6 with the Clark
2) Draining of Basin #3 begins -Basins #3 and #4 were drained and all the work completed. Then Basins #5 and #6 were drained and the process was repeated.
3) Dellinger employees use fire hoses and brooms to remove the sludge from each cell of the basins. A total of 80 cells had to be cleaned in preparation for the 30” pipe and masonry work.
Description: Clean four existing aeration basins measuring 618 feet in length, with 20 cells each. Demolish two existing separation walls and pour new separation walls in their place. Construct new step feed channel, piping and supports. Run a total of 3,040 lf of 30” Fastite pipe thru the four basins. Clean existing ceramic disc diffusers, reconfigure diffuser locations, and install fine bubble membrane diffusers in anoxic cells. Mount eight dissolved oxygen analyzers and sensors. Construct a total of 32 concrete block walls in the basins. Provide and install two 5’ x 6’ sluice gates.
